We shall be doing the following tasks together on this workshop

  • Dyeing fabric 

  • Applying a stencil design to fabric

  • Applying a block printed design to fabric

  • Applying a random pattern dye to fabric

  • Demonstration: dyeing upholstery and leather.

Maybe you have a favourite but now well worn leather armchair? Well, by applying a lick of Chalk Paint™ you can breathe new life into it. Those old dining chairs - the frames are perfect but the fabric sad and old? Chalk Paint to the rescue once again! We shall be showing you some great results working with these at the end of the workshop.

You can follow our lead and experiment with Chalk Paint™ as a dye and fabric paint. We look at making amazing patterns on cloth. Try stencil patterns and some random pattern dye methods.

These days we are looking at recycling perfectly good things and even saving a bit of money in the process. After this workshop you will be able to create new patterns for curtains, bed covers, upholstery and cushions. Even create a custom lampshade to match your newly painted lamp..

You will be sent a to do list of household things you will need for the workshop, most of which you will probably have anyway. If you need to buy Chalk Paint™, stencils, stencil brush or stencil roller, we offer these at the special workshop rate we extend to all our workshop attendees. .
