Dye With Chalk Paint™
There are some really exciting projects you can get underway around your home. Be experimental, even playful as you explore the effects you can create with Chalk Paint™ on fabrics. The above work is by one of Annie Sloan’s Painters in Residence Shed Eleven
The images above show some of the effects you can create. These images are from Annie Sloan and the techniques can be found in her books or if you prefer you can enrol on one of our workshops.
Fold and dip dye - that is the essence of what you will be doing. Add a bit more water to dilute the paint letting it merge together. Experiment with what happens.
Dilute a teaspoon of Chalk Paint™ in a pan of cold water and dip the fabric in a few times to take up the colour. Allow the fabric to dry over a line and then set the colour with either an iron or tumble dryer. This will create a new and refreshing look for jaded curtains.
Borrow techniques from other areas to create beautiful designs. Stencils, folding patterns and bubble wrap create random colour patterns. We run workshops exploring these ideas so why not have a look
Enjoy
