Annie Sloan Dark Wax is used to create a darker patina to your work, it adds a brown colour. Apply over a coat of Clear Wax for easier control of colour intensity. It is particularly effective when used to highlight a textured paint finish. Apply sparingly in the same way as you would apply Clear Wax.

To achieve this look, apply a thin coat of wax over your painted surface with a small Chalk Paint® Wax Brush. Work in small areas at a time, wiping off any excess with a clean cloth. Then apply the Dark Wax. Work it well into the grain of the paint. You can remove unwanted Dark Wax by gently reapplying Clear Wax..

Technical information

Chalk Paint® Wax is not suitable for outdoor use. Use Chalk Paint® Lacquer alternatively for use outdoors. After care: wipe clean with a damp cloth. For tough marks, use a proprietary spray cleaner and rewax where necessary.
