Decorative Gilding. Techniques.
Decorative Gilding. Techniques.
We start by mastering the laying down of metal leaf and then work on decorative techniques which include methods of creating patterned colour finishes. .The versatility of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ allows us to create a faux marble effect. a look of worn metal and mimic the verdigris greens and blues of a soft aged copper look. By the addition of an emulsion we see how to develop intriguing patterns on the gilded surface.
I will demonstrate further techniques to gently age copper metal leaf and some exciting effects to tarnish metal leaf work.
